SnapShade User Manual
SnapShade lets you preview select beauty products on your face before you buy. This guide walks you through opening the try-on, using your camera or selfie, changing shades, building a full look, and shopping directly from the experience.
What SnapShade does
SnapShade is a virtual try-on experience built into the shopping site. You can open it from supported product pages, preview shades on your own face, switch between live camera and selfie mode, and combine products into one finished look.
- Try lipstick, lip liner, eyeshadow, lashes, and other supported items.
- Use your camera for live preview or upload/use a selfie.
- Zoom to the eyes or lips when you want a closer look.
- Add products to your face, then review them together in View My Look.
- Shop directly from inside the SnapShade experience.
Sit in good lighting, face the camera straight on, and keep your whole face visible when starting. Once the effect is active, you can use zoom controls for a closer view.
How to launch the try-on
From the homepage
Tap or click the floating View My Face button to jump into the SnapShade experience.
From a product page
Open a supported product and select the SNAPSHADE TRY-ON button.
Accept the consent popup
The first time you open SnapShade, you may see a privacy and consent notice. Review it, check the required boxes, and continue into the try-on experience.
Understand the try-on screen
The main try-on screen shows your face on the left and the controls on the right. Depending on the product type, you may see source controls, zoom controls, color choices, and look-building buttons.
Switch between live camera and selfie mode.
Toggle full face or zoom to the eyes or lips.
Add the current product to your look or open View My Look.
Use camera mode or selfie mode
Use Camera
Choose Use Camera for live try-on. This is best when you want to move naturally and watch the product update in real time.
Use Selfie
Choose Use Selfie if you want to preview on a still image instead of live camera.
Remove Selfie
Use Remove Selfie to clear the current still image and go back to choosing a source.
Preview button
Use Preview to turn the beauty effect preview on or off while staying in the try-on screen.
Zoom for eyes or lips
When a product supports it, SnapShade gives you a closer view of the area you are working on. Lip products can show a closer lip view, and eye products can zoom in around the eyes.
Choose colors and styles
Once a product is loaded, browse the available colors, shades, or finishes. Click a swatch or option to update the try-on result. Some product types also let you pick a lid area, finish, or style mode.
Add products to your face
When you like a product, use Add to Face. That keeps the current item in your active look so you can continue shopping and add more products. This is the easiest way to combine items before you check out.
- Add lipstick, then add lip liner.
- Switch to eyes and add eyeshadow or lashes.
- Open View My Look to review the combined result.
Review your combined look
View My Look is where you see all active selections together. You can reuse your current selfie, change it, remove it, and move forward to cart or shopping.
Change Selfie
Replace the current still image with a different one.
Use Current Selfie
Pull your current selfie into View My Look without uploading again.
Remove Selfie
Clear the current selfie from the look view.
Add Look to Cart
Move forward with the selected products from your combined look.
Browse products without leaving the experience
Use Shop Products to open the built-in shopping panel. Browse by category, pick an item, and try it right away. This keeps you inside SnapShade instead of bouncing around the site.
- Browse by category such as Lips, Eyes, or Face.
- Use Try This to load a product instantly.
- A product already in use may show Selected.
Using SnapShade on mobile
On smaller screens, SnapShade shifts into a more compact layout. Open the menu, load your product, and work through the controls just like desktop. The flow is the same, only the layout is tighter.
Quick tips for a better preview
Face a window or a bright room so your features are easy to detect.
Look directly at the camera first, then use zoom or change products.
Hair, hands, or strong shadows over the lips or eyes can affect the preview.
Common questions
SnapShade is not showing my face correctly.
Move into better lighting, center your face, and make sure your full face is visible. If needed, refresh and reopen the try-on.
The product is not changing when I click a color.
Wait a second for the preview to update. If nothing changes, select the shade again or switch to another variation and back.
I want to compare products faster.
Use Shop Products inside SnapShade, then load items one at a time and use Add to Face for the ones you want to keep.
I only want to work on one area.
Use the zoom and area controls provided for that product, such as Zoom Eyes, Zoom Lips, Upper Lid, or Lower Lid.
